What to Know When Ordering

We offer beef by the cut in our store, but also offer beef shares. These can be purchased as wholes, halves, & quarters. Please feel free to contact Kelsey @ 785-386-8778 if you have any questions, but here is a basic overview of how the process works.

Your final cost is based on the hanging weight of the individual animal plus the cost of processing. Every calf is different but most of ours hang between 800-900 lbs.

A Whole beef is $2.65/lb hanging weight + processing.

Halves & Quarters are $2.75/lb hanging weight + processing.

For example: The cost for a half beef would be 425lbs hanging weight X $2.75/lb=$1,168.75. Add processing (approx.$550) and you get a total cost of 1,718.75.

The amount of beef you put in your freezer will be 60-65% of the hanging weight of the animal after processing.

A WHOLE BEEF (including processing) will be approx. $3,400 for about 525 lbs of beef in your freezer.

A HALF BEEF (including processing) will be approx. $1,725 for about 260 lbs of beef in your freezer.

A QUARTER BEEF (including processing) will be approx. $875 for 130 lbs of beef in your freezer.
